"There is nothing negative to say about this outlet store or Thorlo socks. O.K., I wish they were a tad less expensive, BUT they are MADE IN THE USA, so I\'m happy to support local workers. I\'ve worn Thorlos for years, my foot doctor recommended them. I\'m a very frugal girl, so giving up $1.00 socks took some doing, but once you\'ve worn these socks you\'ll understand.
The store is a whole other level of cool! The ladies who work there are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, funny. It feels like you\'ve walked into a neighborhood store in a small town where they\'ve known you for years. The store is always neat, clean and organized. The assistants encourage you to compare sock styles to find the best choice for your use.
No, I don\'t work for Thorlo, and I don\'t know anyone who does. I just really like their socks. We make the trip to Statesville from Greensboro once a year (for our anniversary - long story!) to get our socks and ones to send to my parents in CA.
This year I got a pair of Army Combat Boot socks for my niece\'s husband to try before he goes back to the Middle East. He liked them a lot, so I\'ll be sending him some more to take when he\'s deployed soon. I plan to start a Soldier\'s Sock Stash so family and friends can donate money that I\'ll use to buy more socks for the other guys on his Special Ops Team.
The only time I\'ve been disappointed at the Thorlo store was when I\'d come back for a style I really liked and it wasn\'t there anymore. Turns out it was a one time overrun of socks that usually go to the Israeli Army. Go figure! I\'ve found a new favorite since then.
Go to the Subway Sandwich place nearby for food, then keep driving West and catch the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoy a long drive home looking at beautiful trees and mountains. "
