Try The Best

"I’ve worn this Thorlo sock for many years over literally thousands of miles. After many years, they finally began to wear out. Unfortunately REI stopped selling Thorlo sock and I bought Smartwool socks. While Smartwool socks are pretty good, they did give me blisters when hiking difficult trails. I switched to Darn Good socks and got even worse blisters. I finally found that I could order Thorlo socks directly from Thorlo. These Thorlo socks excel on long difficult hikes and backpacks. I rarely got even a hot spot. If you are getting blisters, you owe it to yourself to give these Thorlo socks a try. Happy feet equals Happy Hiking!"

Going back to Thorlo is going home. . . .

"I discovered Thorlos back in the 80s when I worked as a forester/wildland firefighter; paired with my handmade smokejumper boots, I put heaven-knows-how-many miles on them through a dozen years in the woods. Some years later, I couldn't find them in stores and the internet wasn't what it was today, so I wandered off to other wool/cushioned brands. Happily, I'm now back to Thorlo, and they are pitch-perfect: the wool blend gives the most cushioning, while the way they weave the leg portion without carrying the heavy cushioning up makes it very comfortable with my 8" and 10" top boots. These are noticeably thicker than the synthetic-only socks and are as durable as they are comfortable. I keep a drawer-full, typically wearing a pair 2-3 days before tossing them in for a light inside-out wash. Socks may be simple things, but walking is life and walking with the right sock is downright glorious. Well done!"

Just as I remember them.

"Long ago an Appalachian Trail through hiker, Macgyver, went the entire trail with three pairs of these. One pair for walking, one pair was wet, and one pair for Town. I consider them essential tools for a Trek."
