Thank you for putting a Smile on a child's face
The ALTA Foundation was created in 1986. It was created by ALTA to promote health, character, sportsmanship, and responsible citizenship by using the game of tennis to support not only amateur athletes, but programs for the disadvantaged, the physically and mentally challenged, and to provide inner-city youth new opportunities for the future. Through its various programs, the Foundation touches thousands of adults and juniors in the Metro Atlanta area.
The Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation (AYTEF) is the charity outreach of USTA Atlanta. The Foundation develops after school as well as summer tennis and educational programs for underserved youth in local Boys & Girls Clubs, elementary schools and recreation centers around metro Atlanta. AYTEF’s mission is to give kids opportunities to build their character and help them develop their skills on and off the court. Donations provide educational and art supplies, healthy snacks, scholarships, coaching, tennis equipment and more. Learn More Here
The Y introduces tennis to youth throughout Atlanta’s many underserved communities, offering a healthy, fun way to stay fit and engage kids in a lifelong sport. Over the past 10 years, the Y has introduced the sport of tennis to over 60,000 kids throughout the metro area. This summer alone, more than 10,000 children will participate in Y summer day camps across metro Atlanta and have opportunities to learn tennis or sharpen their skills. Funds raised through the BB&T Atlanta Open charitable partnership will specifically provide access to tennis programs and increase exposure to the sport in neighborhoods across metro Atlanta. Through out its programs the Y is making a profound difference in the lives of youth, families and communities. Learn More Here
