Kid's Walking Socks For Feet That Do Not Hurt

A Great Way to Get & Stay in Shape

There’s no doubt about it: walking is the safest, simplest form of exercise that can help you trim your waistline and improve your health. The problem is, sore, tired, achy feet can keep you on the couch. That’s where Thorlos clinically-tested padded socks (CTPS) for walking can help. They’re specially designed for walking, with padding clinically shown to help protect your feet from blisters, pain and soreness, as well as the pressures and moisture that can cause other serious foot conditions. The result: feet that are protected, profoundly comfortable and ready to go walking tomorrow.

“I wear orthotics and my feet need to be cushioned. These socks don't bunch up and keep the sock smooth so the bottom of my feet don't get sore.”  Kathy G.

So it becomes easy to take a brisk half-hour walk five days a week, which is all you need to meet US national physical activity guidelines. Do more—more time, more distance, more intensity—and the benefits to your heart, cholesterol levels, blood pressure, weight and mood increase exponentially.

“Love my new magic socks! Like walking on air and they stay put, too. No sliding down into my shoes.”  Gaye P.

Thorlos CTPS—Activity-Specific, Uniquely Designed

While incorporating Thorlos hallmark ball-and-heel padding, Thorlos clinically-tested padded walking socks are lighter in weight to make your walks effortless. These incredibly comfortable socks also have a unique feature:  added spandex in the arch for support and a lace pad on the top of the sock to protect against “lace bite”—the pain and irritation caused by laces cutting into your foot. .Pink heel
We donate $1 per pair to a cause of your choice Women who are into distance walking will want to try our most protective walking sock, the  DWMXW, made with our proprietary THORLON yarn. These socks have a compelling story behind them. Originally, they were designed specifically to meet the needs of women committed to participating in the Breast Cancer 3-Day, a 60-mile walk benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust (the event is now known as Susan G. Komen 3-Day). Learn more about our Breast Cancer Donation Program.

Our design philosophy is all about protection from the shearing forces that cause blisters and from the pounding and impact that cause general soreness and foot fatigue, If 3-Day walkers wore Thorlos, we reasoned, they would enjoy their training more and, as a result, they would be more prepared to enjoy the special experience of walking with thousands of new friends. So the THORLO Company not only became an official sponsor of the event, we designed a new padded sock for distance walking and named it HEROs®in honor of the women who have battled and are battling breast cancer and the women who will wear them while they walk for the cause.

We also offer high-protection, moderate-cushion unisex styles made with THORLON: WX, WMX, WMM.

“I just finished walking in my third 3-day, 60-mile walk for breast cancer. This is also my third year wearing Thorlos WMM socks. They are like heaven on my feet! I couldn't have made it without these socks.”  Tonya M.

”My feet used to hurt or get hot after a long walk when I wore ordinary socks. Since I’ve been wearing Thorlos clinically-tested walking mini crew socks, my feet no longer hurt! Thorlos provide sufficient padding, comfort and protection, but not too much bulk. They also keep my feet dryer and cool, which I like.” David McBride, Marketing

    Best socks for Aerobics

I was so happy to find these socks on-line. I had been getting them from a local retail store, but the store no longer carries them. I am a loyal Thorlos customer. The socks wear and wash well. Worth every cent.

Comfy, but too low cut for me

    02/23/17 | By

These are very comfortable, but being low cut bothers my ankle a little. I previously got 1 pair of the crew socks at a shoe store and I love those!! These will be good for summer with my sneakers when I don't want my socks to show.

I've worn Thorlos Sox for 35 years

    02/23/17 | By

I discovered Thorlo socks when I was on active in the US Navy 35 years ago. The Thorlo Tennis and walking socks provided the proper support for my feet while working and walking on US Navy ship steel decks and ashore. After I retired from the Navy and I continued working in Naval support, the only constant in my wardrobe were Thorlo socks. I am 81 years old and Thorlo socks are still on my feet today.

    Lighter weigh but still good

    02/21/17 | By

I only wear Thorlo when I go jogging. As I age, I need more cushion for my feet when I jog. Experia is a little lighter weight than the other Thorlos I have and it is perfect for warmer weather.

Excellent very comfortable sock for working that requires a lot of walking around

    02/17/17 | By

The socks fit snugly but are surprisingly soft. I have clawed toes - must wear special shoes but those shoes and my feet are so much more comfortable when wearing these socks too

Great fit. They do tend to slip down the heels. That can be annoying.

If only they came in my size!

    02/13/17 | By

What Thorlo should do is offer the following sizes: 4-6 and 6-7.5 and 7.5-10. The current arrangement, which lumps together everything from 6.5 to 10, simply does not work for those of us who wear a 6 to 6.5. The 4-6 are too small, and the 6.5 to 10 are too large. Had I realized when Thorlo introduced walking socks in exact sizes [5-5.5, 6-6.5, 7-7.5, etc] that their availability would be short-lived, I would have stocked up! The few pairs I have in the 6-6.5 are marvelous. But I think that the sizing suggested above would work and would be vastly preferable to the current sizing system.
