Clinically-Tested Padded Socks For Feet That Hurt

Protect Your Feet: Soft-Tissue Management of Diabetic Feet

If you are among the more than 25 million adults in the United States with diabetes,  you will appreciate the  benefits of  Thorlos clinically-tested padded socks (CTPS), highly effective diabetic socks with unique padding clinically shown to reduce blisters, pain, pressures and moisture.  Blisters and any other lesion or break in the skin can set the stage for diabetic ulcerations and amputation. Thorlos padding protects the feet’s skin/soft-tissue so these are less likely to occur.

“Since I started wearing Thorlos socks I don't get blisters on my feet. As a diabetic, this is very important!” Sherry M.

According to the US National Institutes of Health and National Library of Medicine, if you have diabetes you are more likely to have foot problems. Diabetes can damage your nerves (diabetic neuropathy), which may make you less able to feel an injury or pressure on the skin of your foot. Thus, you might not notice a foot injury (unrecognized trauma to the feet) until severe damage or infection develops. This is why skin/soft-tissue management of the feet is critical if you have diabetes.

Diabetes also changes your body's ability to fight infections—a cut or sore may take a long time to heal, if it heals at all. Damage to blood vessels because of diabetes results in less blood and oxygen getting to your feet. Because of this, small sores or breaks in the skin may become deeper skin ulcers; if skin ulcers do not improve, get larger or go deeper into the skin, your toes, foot or leg may have to be amputated. That’s why it’s vitally important to properly manage the skin/soft tissue of the feet and see your health care provider regularly, have regular foot exams and check and care for your feet every day (see http://www.ipfh.org/foot-conditions/diabetes:-foot-concerns/daily-foot-care-for-people-with-diabetes/), especially if you already have nerve or blood vessel damage or current foot problems. Clearly, preventive foot care is critical for a person with diabetes.

“These are the best. Having diabetic foot issues, I value the safety and performance of these socks.” Herbert A.

How Thorlos Help with Soft-Tissue Management of the Feet

Thorlos PADDS  have padding that is uniquely designed and engineered for people with diabetes and can help protect against the negative consequences of diabetes-related foot conditions. The padding of these diabetic socks, which our customers and health professionals tell us are highly effective in providing diabetic foot protection, has been clinically shown to reduce blisters, pain, foot pressures and moisture.

Taken together, these benefits provide unique, clinically shown comprehensive protection for the skin/soft tissues of the feet, thereby addressing the major foot-health risks associated with diabetes.

“Being diabetic, I must pamper my feet and these socks are perfect with my new exercise shoes. They are so comfortable I wear them often.” Mary M.

Thorlos CTPS Will Help You Stay Active

Staying active is a key to managing your diabetes.  According to the American Diabetes Association, regular activity can: improve your blood sugar, lower your blood pressure, help you lose weight, lower your risk of other health problems such as heart attack or stroke, give you more energy, reduce stress and improve your flexibility.

“I walk daily for my diabetes and I swear by these socks. It is common for diabetics to have feet problems but with these socks to cushion my feet, I've had none. I highly recommend them!”  Judi H.

Thorlos can help you get or stay active by making your feet as comfortable as possible, reducing any pain and thereby making it easier to be on your feet for longer periods. You will also have peace of mind that your feet will be protected during activity, reducing the chances of blisters, pressures and moisture…the causes of ulceration.

“A sales person recommended these socks for my boyfriend who has diabetes and needs good socks/shoes, especially to work out. These are the first we purchased and he has been able to be active w/out foot problems. I am online buying more.”  Wendy V.

    Not for me

I liked the socks, but they were not as cushiony as the basketball socks I usually get from you. I thought I might like the shorter "lighter" socks for the warmer weather - but no, back to my favs!

    I can walk without pain

I am 70 years old, weigh 340 lbs (I'm 6'1") and have diabetes. The pads of my feet have been thining with age and walking has become uncomfortable. I have used Thurlo socks with success for decades so I thought I would try the socks they designed for problems like mine. I also purchased a pair of Brooks sneakers designed for my problems that they named "the beast". The socks combined with the shoes did the trick. Walking is much more comfortable now. If these new Thurlo socks are half as durable as the ones I' be been wearing for so long I will recommend them without reservation. Great socks.

These are the very best socks. I highly recommend them.

I have worn Thorlos socks for about 15 years and I have really enjoyed them. I have extremely narrow feet ( 4A and 5A ) width shoes. I never did have a lot of padding on the bottom of my feet. As I have aged , I have lost even more padding . I can't always find narrow width shoes my size, but I do the next best thing. I wear SAS and New Balance shoes with my Thorlos. They give me padding for the bottom of my feet and they help take up the extra space in my shoes. I discovered that the Padds are not only thicker on the balls, but also thicker on the heel. I will buy these when I need more. The're Great.

Good choice for diabetics with neuropathy.

    | By

I have Multiple Sclerosis and diabetes, and moderate to sever foot pain is an almost daily occurrence due to the ravages of these two diseases which destroy nerve functions.. Clearly, good high-quality socks are paramount to foot comfort, and Thorlos socks are very comfortable--amongst the best I've tried. And I can honestly say that I've tried most of the brand that are advertised for diabetic patients. Most of those brands were disappointingly inferior. But the Thorlos socks are so comfortable, and I will certainly buy additional pairs. Sadly, I am only able to afford one or two pairs at a time, but I will continue to be a long time consumer of your products!

    Comfort at last!

My husband took advantage of the Free Pair Offer and got a pair of these for me to try. My feet are crippled from arthritis and walking was painful. These socks provide some degree of relief when worn alone around the house or with shoes when I go outside. The Thorlon fiber provides amazing padding in the soles yet is not bulky in any way. I would definitely recommend these socks to others with my condition
