Clinically-Tested Padded Socks For Feet That Hurt

Lite Padded Socks For Feet That Do Not Hurt

The Importance of Your Feet

Your feet are incredibly important when playing golf for two simple reasons:

  • Every swing begins with your feet, and
  • The game is more enjoyable when you walk.

And that’s why we took Thorlos engineered padding and created the GX, GMX and G Thorlos golf sock.

The Feet: The Foundation of Your Swing

The famous professional golfer Mickey Wright—whose swing was admired by the legends of the game such as Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan and Tom Watson as having the best swing of any professional golfer, male or female—says:

“Every great swing begins with a good grip and the correct  use of the feet…that is the working of the weight back and forth across the inside of the feet.”

Mickey entrusted her feet to Thorlos clinically-tested padded golf socks (CTPS). In a tribute to their importance during her career, she had a pair of her Thorlos placed in her USGA exhibit. Mickey is the first woman to be honored by the United States Golf Association (USGA) Museum, joining Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan and Arnold Palmer--the only other honorees.

Thorlos Clinically-Tested Padded Golf Socks Protect Your Feet

Thorlos clinically-tested padded golf socks (CTPS) were designed for feet that hurt during or after a round. They utilize clinically-tested padding, which starts with THORLON® acrylic yarns specially spun to maintain softness and resilience as well as to better wick moisture (foot perspiration) away from your skin. The testing has shown that Thorlos padding helps reduce blisters and reduce (buffer) the pressures that are created from the approximate five miles of walking and the weight-shifting during the swing required by the game.

Properly protecting your feet is no different from protecting your hands with gloves, your eyes with sunglasses and your skin with sunscreen.

Walking Beats Riding (except on Rainy Days)

Walking becomes a joy with Thorlos CTPS golf socks. Besides reducing blisters and pressures, Thorlos padding has also been shown in clinical research to reduce foot pain and aches, and moisture. When you are walking, you get to enjoy all the beauty of the course and the company of the three other people you are playing with.

Golf was meant to be a walking sport. Thorlos help make that possible.

The Rolltop Golf Sock

Thorlos CTPS golf protection comes in GX crew, GMX mini-crew and the G rolltop, which the company originated and for which it was one of the company’s original patented designs. It was designed at the request of Cynthia Sullivan, who later became a four-term president of the LPGA. She asked for a sock that would not come above the ankle but would stay up. Short socks of the day just would not stay up. She said it was a continual distraction to be constantly pulling her socks up. So the G Rolltop was designed. It would stay up all day and with the clinically-tested padding, it provided protection and comfort.

Curious but not yet convinced whether Thorlos CTPS can help you address your foot pain? We invite you to try your first pair free…just paying shipping and handling.

Caring For PGA Tour Caddies’ Feet

To give all tour caddies the opportunity for optimum foot health, Thorlos sets up a foot care tent in the caddy yard at the Quail Hallow Golf Course during the annual Wells Fargo Championship tour stop. All caddies, fitness trainers and any interested players are given the opportunity to a have a free foot screening conducted by Jerome Gallenstein (Thorlos on-staff Certified Pedorthist) and a fresh pair of Thorlos CTPS.

30 Day No-Risk Brand Promise Guarantee

Try Thorlos padded golf socks for 30 days. If you don’t agree that your feet feel better than when wearing regular socks, we’ll refund your money.

Employee Favorite

“I love my ancient leather-soled golf shoes. The “G” rolltop has great padding on the ball and heel area to make my shoes feel like new. It also allows me to keep my tan line at the top of my golf shoe. The extra fabric that makes up the rolltop protects my ankle from the rough leather on the top of the heel of my old golf shoes.”  Jeff Lawson, Analytics

I now have 4 pairs of these socks in different colors and I won't wear anything else to run in.

    Slide down at the heel

    | By

Slightly smaller than size indicated, with insufficient pad at the back, resulting in a slip down the back of the heel. The version I just purchased differs in this regard from what I bought at a runners store a few years ago. I loved those socks! I am disappointed in these, for the high price I paid.

Warning. Experia are highly addictive and habit forming.

    | By

There is a reason I have a dedicated drawer. The Experia have allowed me to run in comfort and blister free since I started wearing them in 2009. I have a "sockerstition" where I wear a brand new pair each race. The fact that they come in cool colors is a bonus and adds to the addiction. I just flat love these socks.

Good sock. fit is good. Top is too fluffy for me to view it as unisex. My wife likes them.

    Reliable Over The Years, But...........

    | By

I have been a Thorlo user for over 40 years and find that the product line is great regardless of what has been purchased. My only complaint is that the socks do NOT last as long as they used to which I would imagine is attributable to either less density or poorer materials, but my overall satisfaction with the socks that I have use is still very good. I just have to replace them sooner than in the past.

    golf socks too heavy

    | By

These socks are far to heavy for golf shoes. I live in the desert and my feet would wilt if I wore them to golf. The quality is good but they are just too thick.

    So far so good

    | By

I ordered these (5 pairs) when we were at our place in New Zealand. I've just returned to Canada and have worn them 3 times for golf. I do like how light they feel whilst still providing the padding on the balls and heels of the feet. I'm concerned that they may not stand up to the wear and tear of golfing or hiking on a daily basis. Time will tell. Cheers.
