Padding Clinically Shown to Reduce Foot Pain for People with Arthritis
Thorlos’ uniquely constructed padding has been clinically shown to provide pain relief and reduce pressures that plague feet affected by rheumatoid arthritis. If you are among the 50 million Americans with rheumatoid arthritis, you will appreciate the guaranteed benefits of clinically-tested Thorlos padded socks, with padding clinically shown to reduce blisters, pain, pressures and moisture. According to the Arthritis Foundation, arthritis—in all its forms—is a more frequent cause of activity limitation than heart disease, cancer or diabetes, and one in three people with arthritis experiences work limitations. Countless more are in constant pain.
The structural changes to the foot that accompany the progression of arthritis — e.g., joint damage, foot deformity, hammer toes, bunions — make feet vulnerable to pain and further damage even with mild impact. Thorlos unique padding acts as a protective shield against jarring impacts, which can be painful, from walking on hard surfaces as well as up and down stairs. While the pain-reduction research results were based on rheumatoid arthritis sufferers, we have a large amount of anecdotal evidence that the padding reduces foot aches and pain generally.
Thorlos CTPS Will Help You Stay Active
Arthritis often causes foot pain and other problems that severely restrict mobility. Thorlos clinically-tested padded socks (CTPS) help you stay active and function to the best of your ability. With Thorlos, your walking/mobility program—a key to maintaining function and reducing arthritis foot pain and other symptoms—will be easier on your joints, and potentially more enjoyable.
Satisfied Wearers Say It Best
Here are what some of our customers with arthritis are saying about Thorlos CTPS:
“I have terrible feet, with many problems such as arthritis, bunions, hammer toes, martin toes and neuropathy. I am prone to blisters, calluses and pressure points on my feet. Since wearing these socks ,my problems have been alleviated considerably and generally just feel better. These socks allow me to do more physical activity because my feet don’t poop out on me.” John S.
“I bought these to wear with my CROW boot AFO which I wear for my for Charcot ankle/foot. They are perfect, fit to knee and great padding on the Achilles tendon. Help my poor old worn out arthritic foot also by providing padding and wicking away of moisture.” Terri M.
“I purchased these for my daughter, an assistant store manager for large grocery chain, when she was diagnosed with reactive rheumatoid arthritis in her feet and hands. They helped immensely during her long recovery time, which confirmed my love of these socks. She is sold on these socks forever now.” Regina C.
“These socks are a major comfort for my feet which suffer from arthritis among other problems. The soft, springy construction provides buffering as well as support. They are comfortable in summer and winter and are so durable that the initial cost is easily justified.” Helen M.
Still Have Questions?
We invite you to call 704-902-1406 to discuss how Thorlos can make a difference in your life with Jeff Lawson, who has been managing his own rheumatoid arthritis for the past 30+ years.
Every person’s arthritis manifests differently, so it’s not possible to recommend an “arthritis sock” per se. What you can do is identify where your pain tends to be, and how your daily and recreational activities impact that pain. Then you can choose the right clinically-tested Thorlos for you.
If you need:
Ball – Heel Protection: Clinically-tested Thorlos PADDS will protect and cushion the bottom of the foot.
Ball – Heel – Instep Protection: Thorlos clinically-tested padded walking socks will protect and cushion the bottom of the foot, and provides extra padding protection for the top arch area of the foot.
Ball – Heel – Top-of-Toe Protection: Thorlos clinically-tested padded tennis socks will protect and cushion the bottom of the foot and the top of toes…provides extra toe protection for those with moderate/severe hammer toes.
Ball – Heel – Achilles Protection: Thorlos clinically-tested padded basketball socks will protect and cushion the bottom of the foot…provides extra padding from the heel up through the lower Achilles tendon.

Great padding. Very comfortable.

These are not as thick and cushioned as much as I thought they would be but tons better than what you can purchase at the store

Love, Love, Love these sox! I wear these every day - all day long. I've certainly recommended these to my Orthopaedic Dr's Assistant RN, who, of course, is on her feet most of the day.

My feet are as old as I am and I wish the rest of me could be wrapped in the comfort and support of these socks ! Having the start of neuropathy THESE are the socks I need just for everyday wear. I have bought socks off the shelf in drug stores but they are more for support than comfort unlike these that do both. They do cost a little more but they are worth it, and unfortunately being on a fixed soc sec income, I will have to pace my purchases of them. I am no longer going to spend my money on the drug store socks that almost cost the same but do not do the same. You will not either after trying these socks for yourself !

Socks are OK, but once you buy something from them they will never stop emailing you, no matter how many times you unsubscribe,

The bottoms of my feet feel fully cushioned and I have barely any diabetes nerve pain. The foot and ankle support help keep control of my edema under control. The only down fall is the edema in my legs is so bad the above ankle compression is too much. I have to fold down the top of the sock. I do consider the sock to be correctly made. I just need to get the edema in my legs under control and the sock will be a perfect fit. I think a mini crew will work for now and over the calf after getting the led edema under control.

These are the softest, most relaxed fit, non constricting socks I've ever had on my feet. Perfect for my problem laden feet and ankles. I am buying more of these!

The extra padding definitely helps to cushion the heel. This helps keep energy high and reduces fatigue.

Like any other sock, actually. They are tight.

Love these! They have enough padding in the soles that my feet don't hurt, even after being on my feet most of the day. Even after removing my Drew shoes, I keep these sox on while running around my apartment. The down side is that they only come in black & white. Need the same comfort while wearing different colored slacks, i.e. brown, tan, navy.
