THORLO sponsors projects that help raise awareness about the importance of foot protection and how Thorlos activity-specific, clinically-tested padded socks help by reducing blisters, foot pain, pressures on the feet and moisture buildup. All sponsored initiatives are aligned with THORLO’s mission of being the “caretaker of the world’s feet.”

We currently sponsor relevant initiatives by the following organizations:

International Council on Active Aging (ICAA)  ICAA is an association that leads, connects and defines the active-aging industry, and supports professionals who develop wellness facilities, programs and services for adults over 50. THORLO supports ICAA’s Changing the Way We Age® campaign as a founding strategic partner and member of the ICAA Champions program. THORLO also collaborates with  ICAA and the non-profit Institute for Preventive Foot Health and its Walking Partners® program, which is offered to ICAA’s partners.

Amputee Coalition  The Amputee Coalition reaches out to and empowers people affected by limb loss to achieve their full potential through education, support and advocacy, and promotes lower limb loss prevention. THORLO has teamed with the Amputee Coalition to sponsor the dissemination of education, research and content that helps  promote awareness of the factors that contribute to limb loss, and the knowledge that the foot is best protected by Thorlos clinically-tested padded socks fitted properly with the right shoe. For THORLO,  the amputee’s remaining  foot is “the most important foot in the world.”

Institute for Preventive Foot Health (IPFH) The Institute for Preventive Foot Health's mission is to educate the public, conduct research and provide methods that help prevent the occurrence and recurrence of foot conditions in order to improve quality of life. THORLO is a sponsoring partner of the Institute and utilizes the learning and associated practices in its product design, technical clinics it conducts with shoe sales associates, and in consumer information pieces.

If your organization has a project or program aimed at helping people get more out of life by protecting their feet, which we view as the cornerstone of wellness/preventive health, please feel free to contact us and we’ll be glad to explore whether there is a way for us to work together.
